Pakistani designer Syeda Amera is on a roll.
After sending her designs down a runway in the middle of the ocean, her next showcase is set to take place on a 100-metre-floating catwalk on the Seine River on June 8. Designed by world-famous model/event designer Jessica Minh Anh, the showcase is part of the J Summer Fashion Show 2016.
This isn't the first time Amera has worked with Minh Anh; she's previously shown her designs on Ming Anh's catwalks on the luxurious Costa Luminosa cruise ship in Sydney, the Hudson River in New York and Gemasolar power plant in Seville, Spain. Minh Anh is famous for transforming the world's iconic locations like the Grand Canyon and Eiffel Tower as the backdrops of her runways.
Of Syeda Amera's designs, Ming Anh says, "Syeda Amera has mastered the art of mixing lace, sequins, and embellishments to redefine modern glamour. I am drawn to her artistic usage of innovative textures, daring cuts, and architectural detailing.” Amera is showing dresses with 3-dimensional sequins embellishment.
The J Summer Fashion Show 2016 will also feature collections from Lebanese haute couturier Antoine Kareh, Polish power house Teresa Rosati, Ukrainian designers Mari Sheludko and Valeri Passe of LaFress, Saudi Arabian brand Ot Kutyr Turk Jadallah, German pride Miranda Konstantinidou, and Iceland’s jeweler Jóhannes Ottósson (NOX).
