With over 3000 screens in its kitty, Dishoom starring Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez has opened to a good occupancy of 30 to 50 percent. The film is high on action, drama, cricket, comedy... the works. Rather obviously, this widely promoted film has opened better in the single screen circuit. From today's early trend reports, it'll pick up by evening and will have a fruitful weekend as well.
With Sultan (Rs. 300 crore and still counting) narrowed down to lesser screens and shows, there isn't any direct competition to Dishoom. And while John Abraham may have had a couple of glitches at the box-office recently, Varun Dhawan's ticket window hold is getting stronger by the day.
As far as day one is concerned, anything between Rs. 10 to Rs: 15 crore looks bankable.
